Mother's Day Stepping Stones
This year's Mother's Day gift was a footprint stepping stone for the garden. We made them out of cinder blocks and used acrylic paint to do the footprint and decorations. To seal the paint so that it can withstand the weather we sprayed it with a clear acrylic sealer that is available at Michael's. The tags are just printed from the computer and cut out using a Spellbinders Scalloped Oval die.

We used fabric paint to make 4th of July T-Shirts for our parade. Each Child made a blue hand print and I added red stripes...They looked super cute!

Eric Carle Artwork
To celebrate Eric Carle's birthday I had each of my kids color a green oval with their name on it. We put them all together and added a face to make the "Very Hungry Caterpillar!"
New Birthday Board
Our new classroom Birthday Board!
How to:
Take 4 poster board and tape together. Cover poster board in bulletin board paper and paint blue. I added blue sand and gemstones. Then tear a piece of white bulletin board paper and paint it a light brown. I added sand to that too. I cut out all of the fish and sea animals from the Cricut Cartridge, Life's a Beach. Each child's name and birthday are written on light blue circles, coming from the fish's mouth to act as bubbles. Super simple, super cute!

Halloween Sensory Table
This is such a fun sensory table idea. My kids all thought it was super cool and it is perfect for Halloween!
You will need:
Cooked Spaghetti
Food Coloring
Rubber Halloween Toys (Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skeletons, etc.)
How to:
Cook the spaghetti and drain water. Separate cooked spaghetti into bags and add different colors of food dye to each bag. Close bag and shake until color is evenly distributed throughout the entire bag of spaghetti.

Cinnamon Play-Doh
Cinnamon Play-doh
I really wanted to make play-doh that smelt good, but wasn't made out of Kool-aid (I was growing tired of always making Kool-aid scented play-doh!) so I decided to make Cinnamon scented instead. The recipe is a very basic fool-proof recipe so if you are not the best baker in the world, you can still be successful in creating amazing play-doh.
You will need:
2 cups flour
1 cup salt
4 tsp Granulated Alum
2 Cups water
2 TBSP Oil
2 tsp red food coloring
2 or 3 tsp ground cinnamon
Step 1:
Mix all dry ingredients in large saucepan.
Step 2:
In a separate container add water, oil, and food coloring.
Step 3:
Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients in a saucepan. Stir.
Step 4:
Turn burner onto Medium-High heat and stir until a firm ball forms.
Step 5:
Take off burner and let cool.
Step 6:
Knead dough until it is smooth and feels like play-doh.
Step 7:
Store in an air-tight gallon Zip-Loc bag. Viola!
